MBS appoint a new director Sally Benton
The Directors of MBS Building and Maintenance, are delighted to announce Mrs Sally Benton has been appointed as a Director. Sally has worked in construction for over 20 years and is widely known and respected by many of her peers in the industry.

MBS Managing Director Mark Isaac said “Sally has a wide depth of experience and has played an important part in the growth and success of MBS. I very much welcome her future involvement at boardroom level.” Sally Benton added that she is proud and pleased to accept this prestigious appointment in a local company that she has watched grow and develop into a successful business that is widely respected and regarded for its quality of services throughout the Southwest region.

It is recognised that the last two years throughout the Construction industry have been tough. MBS however have achieved growth and increased margins. They have managed to take on staff at all levels, some whom have recently been made redundant by the demise of several South West based building firms.

M.D Mark Isaac added “We are in a strong position both financially and in terms of quality and diversity of our staff, to take advantage of any upturn within the economy”. MBS have recently invested in new equipment and vehicles, and are currently marketing its Maintenance arm to a wider client base, in the past Term Maintenance was only offered as an off shoot to their construction activities. Mark Isaac says “MBS think this is a potential growth area and we are investing accordingly to gain a market share”.

Sam Glasser - North Cornwall Tor & Lanzarote Ironman
Sam has reported back on his latest achievements:

"All went well in the The 100 Mile "North Cornwall Tor". With over 4000 meters of climbing it was great preparation for Lanzarote Ironman, especially with the sun making an appearance on the day!
Crossing the finish line in just over 6 hours 20 which included fuel stops, I was really pleased as the hills in this ride were horrendous. The legs felt pretty good as well which has given me loads of confidence for the bike section in Lanzarote, which is 2551m of climbing."

Sam will be taking part in the Lanzarote Ironman challenge on 23rd May. His progress can be tracked on www.ironmanlive.com
Good luck Sam!

to the coveted ISO 9001 Quality Standard
Devon based Construction firm MBS Ltd has successfully achieved registration to the internationally recognised internal quality management standard ISO 9001:2000(ISO 9000).

The independent assessment was conducted by the British Accreditation Bureau, the UK’s leading certification body and demonstrates MBS Ltd commitment to customer service and quality. MBS Ltd has now earned the right to display the coveted British Accreditation Bureau ‘Quality Shield’ and ISO 9000 logo to demonstrate its conformity to the standard.
